Who is responsible for your information

What this website collects

We keep this to the minimum needed to run the site:

• Nothing from general browsing. There is no contact form, no sign up, no newsletter and no advertising or analytics tracking on this site. We do not build profiles of visitors.
• Committee logins. Committee members who update the noticeboard sign in with an email address and password. We store the email address and a secure record of the password, and we set a cookie so the session stays signed in.
• Noticeboard content. Notices and photos uploaded by the committee are stored so they can be shown on the site. Please do not upload photographs of identifiable people without their agreement.
• Technical logs. Our hosting and backend providers keep short lived security logs, which can include an IP address, to keep the site available and protect it from abuse.

If you contact us

Links on this site open your own email app or phone. If you email or call us about an event, membership or hall hire, we use your details only to answer your enquiry and to arrange your booking. We keep hall hire enquiries and bookings for as long as needed to manage the booking and any deposit, and for our own records afterwards. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your details for marketing.

Our lawful bases

• Legitimate interests, for running the website securely and answering enquiries.
• Contract, for arranging a hall hire booking and handling the deposit.
• Consent, for optional cookies from the Facebook and Google Maps sections of the site.

Third parties

The site is hosted and its data stored using Lovable Cloud infrastructure. The Facebook page section and the Google Maps section are provided by Meta and Google respectively, and only load if you allow optional cookies. When they load, those companies may receive your IP address and set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies. See our cookie policy for details.

How long we keep information

Committee accounts are kept while the person is on the committee. Notices are removed automatically once they are more than 14 days past their date. Emails and enquiry records are deleted when we no longer need them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time. Email wheatleynewclub@outlook.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

This website is aimed at adults. Children are welcome at the club when accompanied by an adult, but we do not knowingly collect personal information about children through this site.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
